Equestrian Museum, culture through sport

The museum is a cultural institution that promotes equestrian culture linking the relationship between humans and horses throughout the world history and the vision of the horse in contemporary society.

The concept of the program is based on a permanent exhibition and a itinerant collection in order to promote the legacy of the museum in the equestrian world as a dynamic factor of innovation and creativity.

The Museum develops its activity around 5 strategic axes:

• Documentary information, representing and features an epoch, a culture or a tradition, essential to contextualize the horse in time and the development of equestrian notion;
• Collection and disclosure of artefacts relevant to the understanding of the different concepts of riding, traditions and customs of the people who honored the horse with a worthy use of record in history;
• the public awareness, through innovative educational programs, suitable for all audiences of all ages and great visibility actions;
• the artistics creation, relevant to the visual arts, through the establishment of an international reference collection and an exhibition program of the most important international artists;
• the critical reflection on equestrian history through the study and discussion of the main issues of contextualization and use of the horse over time.
